Here's what I've been working on for the last few weeks:



I'm happy with the video itself. I worked really hard on timing, so it's disappointing to me to watch it hang up when it streams. I hope your streaming works better than mine. Part of what makes me love this vid so much is how much it gets from all of my friends and family. So many of these images are references to people who are important in my life.

Something Live Podcast

My friend PJ Shapiro does a podcast called Something Live. Once a month he compiles a "greatest hits" of the Cantab open mike (hosted by the inimitable and intrepid Geoff Bartley), does an interview with an artist and records performances of two of their songs for an mp3 podcast. There are lots of really gemmy performances in these podcasts, from songwriters you've probably never heard of. The new one is just up -- fifth one; front to back awesome as is every installment in the series.

Bill Plays the Abbey Lounge this Thursday

Bill is a band. Bill's lead singer, Bill, is my friend John's brother. John has been playing and recording with Bill for over 20 years, and they've released 2 albums. Here's a video for the song Steve Pepper:



I love Bill's music, and I will be attending this show. Maybe I'll see some of you there?

When I got to the bus stop, I realized that everything was affected. I spent some time here at this stop, waiting for a good long while for any bus at all to come. When the bus did finally show up, it became immediately clear that I wasn't gonna get on it. So I desided to waste a little time, and maybe even try an alternate route. But it was no go. I went to Central Square, and that seemed even worse.

As I made my way through Harvard's campus, I realized that everyone had had the same idea.

The first big snow of the season started about the middle of the day on December 13th. The boss emailed me and said, "You should go home early." Lesley was closing, which they hardly ever do, so I got out of work about 2:30 and started the commute home.
